"Love Chairs Vers4"
I made these as a part of a dining room for a private client who has recently moved into a newly converted barn. This gave us a beautiful interior with old oak beams, a stone floor, and brick work exposed inside the house. My brief was to design and make for them a spectacular centrepiece for this very large high ceilinged room.

" Black is the colour …. "
The phone rang, it always rings when I am putting glue on something tender and irreplaceable. “My name is Ann Black, I am looking for a dining table, we are moving into a new “Barn Conversion” and we have seen your website and wondered if you could help. “I will try….. “. “We want a centre piece, something right in the middle of a huge wooden beamed, stone flagged, brick built room about forty feet high. We want something modern because the building is brand new but also uses old natural materials. Oh, and the kids have got to be able to chuck their satchels on it and not worry too much about it.” More

"The Mother of all Tables"
Made from one large log of dark ash this tableand set of chairs had to be both modern and contemporary whilst fitting in with an ancient building using traditional materials. For a dining room set of this kind of complexity you should allow yourself a budget in excess of £30,000.

"Giselles Dining table"
I made this delicious extending dining table for one of my regular clients. My brief from her was an extending table with slender delicate legs Bill, Giselles husband had different requirements, "David, I want a table I can dance on, real strong!!" Although I could have fallen between the two sets of needs I feel this design is both very stable and light and airy. The table has six maple legs and unextended will seat six. Add a ring of leaves to the circumferance and the table will seat ten comfortably. For a similar table you will need a budget of £20,000 ($30,000)

"The Leggy Blonde"
Known as the leggy blonde by both my client and makers. This slender delicate side table would not survive the attentions of an enthusiastic labrador dog or indeed young person. It is however an elegent cherrywood table that has given us pleasure to have made and hopefully will give our clients recurring pleasure to live with. Allow a cost between £7,000 and £9,000 for apiece of similar scale and complexity. ($10,000 - $15,000)

Rita Hayworth
An occasional table in English Walnut. The latest in a series of tables named after Hollywood personalities. The names alone are evocative of the forms created ,or is it the other way around., "Rita" is small and curvatious with a sexy wiggle. Tables in this series are currently costing up to £10,000 ( $15,000)

The "Black" Cinema.
I designed this piece for a lovely client who wanted to have a home cinema that hid away all the electrical boxes. This is the first that I have made but I have a feeling it wont be the last, as flat screen televisions become more popular and surround sound is requiring larger amplifiers to be housed somewhere. The amplifier for this unit weighs nearly as much as my wife. Made in Sycamore with Amboyna burr panels and shown here with the doors closed to conceal the screen
