In the Woodworking Classes and Courses that we run here Furniture Design plays a major part. It is pointless a woodworking student making a piece of furniture without the Design being worth the time effort.

Hundreds of hours of work should only be done if the Furniture Design is worthy of the time. Drawings will be done at the beginning followed by scale models and possibly a full size rod drawn up in the Furniture Workshop.

Furniture making is a very labour intensive process, requiring often hundreds of hours so it important that in a competent Furniture Workshop Furniture Design is correctly assessed at the start of the project. Please don't waste your time bringing another badly designed piece of furniture into this world.
