Furniture Making Short Courses at Rowden

Furniture Making Short Courses at Rowden

Rowden has a considerable reputation for its one-year course. It is here that students are trained to make extremely high quality fine furniture, irrespective of of any previous experience. Perhaps not so well-known is that we also offer a range of additional short courses. These provide an ideal opportunity for those who would like to dip a toe into our cabinetmaking waters, without having to commit to a full year. With courses ranging from a weekend to three months, there are many ways to experience and learn the Rowden way.

Uniquely, everybody who attends a short course here is expected to learn to the same exacting standards and levels of accuracy as the students on the longer courses. This means that you can apply your newfound skills to whatever you choose to do afterwards, safe in the knowledge that you have been taught in exactly the same way as all Rowden students before you.

All of our courses take place on site here at Rowden, deep in the Devon countryside. You may choose to live on site, or stay locally. Some students even camp in the Summer months. Whatever your preference, we are more than happy to offer advice and help point you in the right direction.

These courses do get booked up well in advance so drop us a line to see what is available.
