“We are all in a giant photo competition Dave” These were the words of Garry Knox Bennet one of the most famous American contemporary furniture makers. Even though in his later years Garry gets up real early and works every morning making something in his enormous studio worksop in Oakland. The afternoons maybe for sitting in the sun with glass of something on ice but the mornings are making time.
Garry knows that a good photo can make or break a piece of work. And good pieces do not always take good photos. But usually its the other way around. An O K piece can be made to look astounding with good lights and photoshop.
